"To foster the interest in cats in the City of Christchurch, the Province of Canterbury and in such other localities and places where such interest may be created.

To encourage members to breed and improve pedigree cats of all breeds in accordance with the standards accepted and laid down by the New Zealand Cat Fancy (Incorporated)."
